Unexpected gifts

Howdy Partners! Just checking out some of the goodies that my wonderful Grandma sent me today. She is the author of my WIL motto.
As kids, my sister and I would always get boxes from her filled with Fannie Mae candy, clothes, jewelry, purses and all kinds of fun things that were either items that she no longer used along with a few things that she picked up at discount stores and even gifts that she had received but didn't want. Sometimes we would wonder, "What was she thinking?" of some of the items but it was always a genuine gesture of her love. It's been awhile since I've been the recipient one of her gift boxes. Getting to the UPS store can be such a hassle anymore and it really is expensive to ship things, I can understand why she does not do this much these days.
Today, it was fun to get such an unexpected gift including this hat! I'm not sure how much I'll wear it but it truly is the thought that counts.
Speaking of thoughtfulness...My husband has been really great lately regarding my pregnancy. I'm relieved because he seemed to struggle at first with how he was feeling. I think it was just overall anxiety about things to come and not due to the fact that he wasn't pleased.
Currently, he tells me that he loves me a lot and these roses aren't so bad either.
Don't get me wrong, we still have our moments. The other night he totally freaked out because he wanted to TIVO a football game but I already had two shows scheduled on the recorder and wasn't willing to miss either of them.
Here's my weight as of this morning. Not as bad as I imagined!
My fancy toes are the result of a gift certificate for a pedicure from my sister-in-law for my 37th B-day which is on 9/19. Normally, I'm not a fan of toe designs, I think it's classier just to do plain polish but hey - that's what the gift certificate was for so I might as well just enjoy it!
I'm still struggling a little, OK a lot, with getting on the treadmill in the evenings. That is one thing that I really want to work on starting now and going forward. I need to think of ways to motivate myself in this area. Blogging does help! I can already feel my mind-set change just by typing it out. Have a delicious day!
