Isn't it nice to have other people cook for you every once in awhile?Perry and jumped at the chance for this when his sister and her husband so generously invited us over for dinner on Saturday night.
The main dish was my BIL - A.K.A. Stuart's most delectable ribs EVER! Everyone in our family loves it when he gets busy in the kitchen.
The secret is the dry rub he uses first, then puts them in the oven. The grill is just the finishing touch! He also makes a homemade BBQ sauce for
slatherin' that's just
delish.
Multiple napkins required...

He also prepared some lovely
herbed mashed potatoes that I forgot to get a picture of because I was too busy shoveling them in. There's also a secret to those, he uses a "
potato ricer" which really makes the texture nice and smooth. I'm thinking of ordering this one from my own
Avon Website for $14.99. Go on, you need one too!

Jennifer made a colorful salad that included hard boiled eggs,
shrooms, red pepper, carrots, cucumber and romaine lettuce. Why do things like this taste so much better when someone else does the slicing and dicing? I
almost could have just had this salad and been happy.

Then to finish it off, Jen made a homemade apple pie using the apples from the tree in their backyard. It was amazing!
And they didn't even accept help with the dishes so it truly felt like a special treat.
Hopefully, we will get a chance to do something nice for them very soon.
Have a great week!
